Flash
Photography Workshop
John Ferdico
Wednesdays 7:00–9:30 PM
March 5, 12, & 19
$75 / $65 UCB students
The portable flash is the photographer’s
most versatile tool. Not only can it
make photography possible in dimly lit
conditions, it offers great qualitative
improvements of images in almost any
light—if properly employed. This
workshop will address basic lighting
techniques and the proper operation
of a photographic flash. Learn to set
your flash with confidence, master bouncing,
fill-flash and ambient combination exposures.
The use of flash will be explored as
a creative tool to expand picture-taking
possibilities. All students with working
knowledge of their cameras are welcome.
